Taran discusses security situation with ambassadors of Baltic states

Taran expressed gratitude for the initiative of this meeting, which is equally important for both Ukraine and the Baltic states in terms of the current security situation in the region. He informed the interlocutors in detail about the situation in the temporarily occupied territories and around the borders of our state.
The parties emphasized the importance of further political and diplomatic support by the Baltic states for Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations - a strategic course towards NATO membership.
The minister also thanked for the unwavering political support of Ukraine's efforts to protect the sovereignty and restore its territorial integrity, as well as for practical assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a stable position on Ukraine within the Alliance.
In turn, Edgars Rinkevics confirmed the constant support of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic aspirations on the part of the Baltic states and expressed readiness to assist in this process.
As Ukrinform reported, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal thanked Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Rein Tammsaar for supporting Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic aspirations, as well as the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
