Prosecutors of the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office together with investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine documented yet another fact of arms supplies from the aggressor country to the illegal armed formations in the Joint Forces Operation area in Donbas.

“On the territory of populated localities Triokhizbenka and Krymske of Shchastia district, Katerynivka and Novotoshkivske of Severodonetsk district, where illegal armed formations of the occupation administration of the Russian Federation had been stationed earlier, Russian-made munition was found: three PMN-2 pressure operated anti-personnel blast mines and a fragment of POM-2 antipersonnel fragmentation mine,” the press service of the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office informs.

The munition of this type is not in the service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is used by representatives of the illegal armed formations of the occupation administration of the Russian Federation in Luhansk region to intimidate the local population and carry out armed aggression against Ukraine. Due to their characteristics, they are prohibited by international treaties, in particular the Ottawa Treaty ratified by Ukraine and the Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on their Destruction.

The obtained material evidence was attached to the files of the criminal proceeding over the violation of laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

PMN-2 pressure operated anti-personnel blast mines were disposed of by bomb disposal technicians of the Main Department of the National Police in Luhansk region on the spot.
