Ukraine grateful to ICRC for its work in Donbas - Zelensky

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for its work in Donbas.
He wrote about this on Twitter on the occasion of the 158th anniversary of the organization, Ukrinform reports.
“It’s 158 years since the first activists started the international movement to help wounded, known now as ICRC. Ukraine, where the only war in Europe is ongoing, is grateful for helping fix millions of lives in Donbas. The work of ICRC keeps faith that the peace will come soon,” the President wrote.
ICRC in Ukraine, in turn, thanked the President for the congratulation and assured of commitment to the Ukrainian people.
The International Committee of the Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, which was established in Geneva (Switzerland) in 1863. The ICRC is now present in more than 80 countries.
