Russian-led forces violate ceasefire in Donbas five times

Over the past day, five ceasefire violations were recorded in the Joint Forces Operation area in eastern Ukraine.

 “In the area of ​​responsibility of the operational and tactical group ‘East’, the Russian occupation forces fired grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns on Ukrainian positions near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk) and Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); grenade launchers of various systems and small arms – outside Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol),” the press center of the JFO Headquarters informs.

In the area of ​​responsibility of the operational and tactical group "North", the armed formations of the Russian Federation fired several unaimed shots from grenade machine guns and tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns outside Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk).

The OSCE representatives were informed about all the facts of ceasefire violations through the Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC).

Ukrainian troops sustained no casualties.

Today, January 5, no ceasefire violations have been recorded in the Joint Forces Operation area.
