Russian invaders open fire on Ukrainian positions near Shumy

Russian-occupation troops have violated the ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas once. No casualties have been reported.
Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Mykhailo Sharavara said this at a briefing on Friday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“As of 12:00 on October 23, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated the ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area once by firing small arms at Ukrainian positions near Shumy (41km north of Donetsk). No casualties among the Ukrainian military were reported," he said.
According to him, in response to the enemy provocation, Ukrainian soldiers did not return fire.
Over the past day, October 22, Russian occupation forces violated the ceasefire in Donbas five times. No casualties among Ukrainian defenders were reported.
