SMM spots Gvozdika and Lyagushka howitzers near contact line in Donbas
According to a report of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) issued on September 11, a long-range unmanned aerial vehicle recorded four self-propelled howitzers (2S1 Gvozdika, 122mm) in a training area near Ternove (57km east of Donetsk); 16 self-propelled howitzers (2S1 Gvozdika, 122mm) and 12 towed howitzers (D-30A Lyagushka, 122mm) in a training area near Buhaivka (37km southwest of Luhansk).
In addition, 10 tanks (T-64 variant) and 13 surface-to-air missile systems (9K35 Strela-10) were spotted in a training area near Buhaivka (37km southwest of Luhansk). In a training area near Ternove, Donetsk region, a long-range UAV spotted 23 tanks (12 T-64 and 11 T72). The weapons were located beyond withdrawal lines but outside designated storage sites.
These facts clearly indicate a violation of the Minsk agreements and the agreements on measures to strengthen the ceasefire regime, reached on July 22, 2020.
Ukrainian soldiers continue to adhere to the terms of a full and comprehensive ceasefire and are ready to adequately respond to the enemy’s possible insidious actions.
