OSCE records more than 900 violations in Donbas since ceasefire began

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) has recorded 903 ceasefire violations in Donetsk and Luhansk regions since the start of the ceasefire regime on July 27.

“Following agreement reached at the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on 22 July regarding additional measures to strengthen the ceasefire, from 00:01 on 27 July until the end of the reporting period, the SMM has so far recorded a total of 908 ceasefire violations,” reads the report issued by the Mission on September 3.

In particular, the Mission reported that ceasefire violations included 152 explosions, two projectiles in flight, 13 illumination flares and 741 bursts and shots in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

As reported by Ukrinform, the OSCE SMM has more than 700 international observers, almost half of whom are working in eastern Ukraine.
