Russia continues to supply weapons, fuel and lubricants to the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Mykhailo Sharavara said this at a briefing on Tuesday, September 1, with reference to information from the Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“The command of the operational group of Russian occupation forces is increasing the combat effectiveness of its formations and units of the first (Donetsk) and second (Luhansk) army corps of the Russian Armed Forces. Russia continues to supply weapons, military hardware and military property to the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions through sections of the border not controlled by Ukraine. Last week, about 700 tonnes of fuel and six wagons with ammunition were delivered to the Russian occupation forces,” the spokesman said.

According to Sharavara, mercenaries – citizens of the Russian Federation – who have undergone special training in training camps of the Southern Military District in certain military specialties – snipers, intelligence officers, and signalers, continue to arrive from the territory of the Russian Federation to strengthen the enemy units.

As reported, according to intelligence, the Russian invaders are using the ceasefire regime in Donbas, established on July 27, to provide, in particular, forward positions with engineering equipment.
