Invaders open fire from heavy machine gun near Avdiivka

Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Maksym Prauta said this at a briefing today, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"In the Donetsk direction, at about 10:00 am, the enemy tried to provoke the defenders of Avdiivka by using a large-caliber machine gun," he said.

According to Prauta, servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not return fire.

There were no combat losses or wounded among the personnel of the Joint Forces both in the past and the current day.

The situation in the JFO area remains fully controlled by the Ukrainian soldiers.

As Ukrinform reported, during a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) in Minsk on July 22, the parties agreed on a complete and comprehensive ceasefire on the contact line in Donbas from July 27.
