Ceasefire in Donbas is major achievement towards peace – PM

The current ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas is a significant achievement on the path to peace process.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this to reporters as part of his working visit to the Kharkiv region on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“To date, the ceasefire is in effect, and, thank God, there have been no casualties for the entire period. For the first time in such a long period, there are no losses among Ukrainians. This is a major achievement, which, I hope, has become a significant step towards the peace process," Shmyhal said.
As reported, during a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) in Minsk on July 22, the parties agreed on a complete and comprehensive ceasefire on the contact line in Donbas from July 27.
