More than 37,000 unexploded projectiles disposed of in Ukraine this year

The explosive ordnance disposal groups of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have disposed of 37,129 unexploded projectiles since the beginning of this year.

"Since the beginning of the year, the explosive ordnance disposal groups of the State Emergency Service have disposed of a total of 37,129 unexploded projectiles, including 586 aircraft bombs," the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine informs.

During just one day, August 3, the groups found 393 unexploded projectiles, including one aircraft bomb.

In July, 1.28 hectares of territory were inspected in the Joint Forces Operation area in Donetsk region. Forty unexploded projectiles were found and disposed of.

In Luhansk region, the explosive ordnance disposal groups examined 1.5 hectares in Stanytsia Luhanska and Popasna districts, where 16 artillery shells, 14 mortar mines, two grenades and two units of engineering ammunition were found and disposed of, the State Emergency Service reports.
