Russian-led forces fire 82mm mortars at Ukrainian defenders of Khutir Vilnyi

Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Maksym Prauta said this at a briefing on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Since the beginning of the current day, as of 12:00, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated the Minsk agreements five times by firing 82mm mortars, mounted antitank grenade launcher, heavy machine guns and small arms at Ukrainian positions near Khutir Vilnyi; grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms – near Zaitseve (62km north-east of Donetsk);  automatic mounted and hand-held antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arm at Ukrainian defenders of Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); 82mm mortars and automatic mounted antitank grenade launchers at Ukrainian positions near Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk)," he said.

The Ukrainian military gave a decent response to the enemy attacks by using duty weapons.

According to available information, no casualties among Ukrainian military have been reported; the enemy's losses are being specified.
