Invaders violate ceasefire in Donbas 7 times, four Ukrainian soldiers wounded

On May 8, the armed formations of the Russian Federation launched seven attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas.

“The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars banned under the Minsk agreements, antitank missile system, grenade launchers of different systems, UAVs, heavy machine guns, and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions. Ukrainian defenders used duty weapons to stop enemy shelling,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-occupation troops used 82mm mortars, grenade machine guns, and UAV to drop VOG-17 grenade to attack Ukrainian troops near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol); 82mm mortars, antitank missile system, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns – on the outskirts of Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk); hand-held antitank grenade launchers and small arms – outside Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk); heavy machine guns – near Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); grenade machine guns – in the area of Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, Russian-led forces opened fire from 120mm mortars banned under the Minsk agreements and tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns on Ukrainian positions near Orikhove (57km north-west of Luhansk) and Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk).

Four Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in the enemy shelling over the past day.

According to the intelligence data, one invader was killed and two more were wounded on May 8.

Today, the Russian-occupation forces have already fired Ukrainian positions near Krymske and Khutir Vilnyi. No casualties have been reported.

The situation in the JFO area remains controlled.
