Ukrainian serviceman killed in Donbas

Russian-backed forces have shelled the positions of the Ukrainian Joint Forces in Luhansk region, killing a Ukrainian serviceman, the press center of the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has reported on Facebook.
"Today, on April 9, Russian occupation troops again violated the ceasefire and fired on Ukrainian defenders in Luhansk region. The enemy used grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms. The Joint Forces returned fire and suppressed the enemy's activity," the report reads.
One serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces sustained a shrapnel wound during the battle and died.
The Joint Forces command expressed deep and sincere condolences to the family and friends of the fallen warrior.
