OSCE: More ceasefire violations in Donbas. A woman died and another injured due to small-arms fire

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) recorded more ceasefire violations in both Donetsk and Luhansk regions compared with the previous 24 hours.

The OSCE SMM said this in a report issued on March 31, based on information from the monitoring teams received as of 19:30 on March 30, 2020.

"In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded an almost three-fold increase in ceasefire violations, including about a ten-fold increase in explosions (about 405), compared with the previous 24 hours (about 45 explosions)," the report says.

The majority of ceasefire violations, including more than three-quarters of explosions, were recorded at westerly directions of Horlivka (non-government-controlled, 39km north-east of Donetsk).

“In Luhansk region, the SMM recorded more ceasefire violations, including more explosions (34), compared with the previous 24 hours (ten explosions),” the report notes.

The majority of ceasefire violations were recorded in areas north-west of Berezivske (non-government-controlled, 53km north-west of Luhansk) and south-west of Molodizhne (non-government-controlled, 63km west of Luhansk).

In addition, the SMM reports that a woman (88–year-old) died due to small-arms fire on 28 March in Staromykhailivka (non-government-controlled, 15km west of Donetsk) and another woman (65-year old) was injured by small-arms fire on 27 March in Avdiivka (government-controlled, 17km north of Donetsk).
