Ukrainian troops come under mortar fire near Krymske, Orikhove and Vodiane
Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Maksym Prauta said this at a briefing on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As of 12:30 on March 25, five enemy attacks were recorded. In particular, the invaders used an automatic mounted grenade launcher and heavy machine guns to fire at the positions of the Joint Forces outside Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk).They also fired 20 120mm mines at the Ukrainian positions near Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk). In the area of Orikhove (57km north-west of Luhansk), the enemy fired three mines from a 120mm mortar,” the spokesman said.
According to Prauta, the invaders fired five 82mm mines and also opened fire from mounted and hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers on the positions of the Joint Forces near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk). In addition, militants used a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher outside Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk).
According to available information, no casualties among the Ukrainian military have been reported.
The Ukrainian military took the necessary measures to suppress the activity of the invaders.
