Parliament approves law on admission of foreign troops to Ukraine for exercises

A total of 289 MPs voted in favor of the relevant document, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

In particular, the law approves the admission of units of the armed forces of foreign countries to the territory of Ukraine in 2020 to participate in multinational exercises on training the units of armed forces: Ukrainian-U.S. Exercise Rapid Trident 2020, Ukrainian-Moldovan Exercise South 2020, Ukrainian-U.S. Exercise Sea Breeze 2020, Ukrainian-Romanian Exercise Riverine 2020, and Ukrainian-British Exercise Warrior Watcher 2020.

According to the explanatory note, financing of the costs associated with the preparation and conduct of multinational exercises with the participation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the territory of Ukraine and abroad in 2020, in the amount of UAH 63,824,000, is planned to be carried out within the limits of the appropriations stipulated by the Law "On state the budget of Ukraine for 2020" for the Defense Ministry of Ukraine under the relevant budget program.
