“The enemy used 152mm artillery systems, 120mm mortars banned under the Minsk agreements, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.
In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, the Russian-led forces used grenade launchers of different systems and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk) and Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk); 152mm artillery systems and 120mm mortars – outside Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms – in the area of Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); 120mm mortars and heavy machine guns – near Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk); hand-held antitank grenade launcher, heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol).
In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy fired 120mm mortars and mounted antitank grenade launcher on Ukrainian positions near Orikhove (57km north-west of Luhansk); 120mm mortars – in the area of Novotoshkivske (53km west of Luhansk); grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk).
As a result of the enemy’s mortar shelling of Krasnohorivka village, one civilian got a fragmentation wound. The woman received medical care promptly.
Yesterday, on March 2, two Ukrainian defenders were wounded and three more were injured.
Today, the Russian-occupation troops have already opened fire from 82mm mortars on Ukrainian troops near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). No casualties have been reported.
