Russian occupation troops have placed additional mines along the contact line, including in direct proximity to populated areas and civilian infrastructure in occupied Donbas.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Maksym Prauta said this at a briefing on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the Russian-backed forces carry out mine laying operations along the contact line, including in close proximity to populated areas and civil infrastructure. In addition, the enemy uses anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, including those banned by international conventions and improvised explosive devices," the spokesman noted.
