OSCE records 130 explosions in Donbas over weekend – report

Between the evenings of November 22 and 24, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine recorded 130 explosions in Donbas.

The OSCE SMM informed this in a report, based on information received as of 19:30, November 24, 2019.

"In Donetsk region, between the evenings of 22 and 23 November, the SMM recorded fewer ceasefire violations, including fewer explosions (about 45), compared with the previous reporting period (about 90 explosions)," the report says.

The majority of the ceasefire violations were recorded in areas north and north-north-east of Shyrokyne (government-controlled, 100km south of Donetsk) and in areas east-south-east and south-east of Hnutove (government-controlled, 90km south of Donetsk).

Between the evenings of 23 and 24 November, the Mission recorded more ceasefire violations, including more explosions (about 80), compared with the previous 24 hours.

The majority of the ceasefire violations, including the majority of explosions, were recorded in areas south-east and east-south-east of Svitlodarsk (government-controlled, 57km north-east of Donetsk), in areas north and north-north-east of Shyrokyne and in areas south and south-south-west of the Donetsk Filtration Station (DFS) (15km north of Donetsk), including about 20 ceasefire violations about 300-600m from the DFS.

"In Luhansk region, between the evenings of 22 and 23 November, the SMM recorded no ceasefire violations," the report notes.

Between the evenings of 23 and 24 November, the Mission recorded more ceasefire violations, including five explosions, compared with the previous 24 hours. All the ceasefire violations were recorded in areas south and south-south-east of Popasna (government-controlled, 69km west of Luhansk).
