Twenty-one out of 137 enterprises that are part of Ukroboronprom State Concern are located in the occupied territories of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. So, in fact, the concern has 116 enterprises.

“The Ukroboronprom, which we received, has 137 enterprises. Twenty-one enterprises are located in the occupied territories of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. So actually we have 116 enterprises. Currently, 68,800 employees work at our plants,” Aivaras Abromavicius, the CEO of the Ukroboronprom State Concern, said in an interview with Ukrinform.

However, forty-six enterprises among those located in the territory controlled by Ukraine are unprofitable. Among the concern’s biggest problems, Abromavicius calls a large number of liabilities, various types of creditor indebtedness which are not clearly reflected in the balance sheet.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Aivaras Abromavicius as the CEO of the Ukroboronprom State Concern by his order No. 641/2019 of August 30, 2019.

Ukroboronprom is an association of multi-product enterprises in various sectors of the defense industry of Ukraine.

The Concern includes enterprises that operate in development, manufacture, sale, repair, modernization and disposal of weapons, military and special equipment and ammunition, and participating in military-technical cooperation with foreign states.
