President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reckons on enhancing coordinated action with NATO to restore stability and security in the Black Sea region.

“We are also interested in enhancing coordinated action to restore stability and security in the Black Sea region. We look forward to supporting Ukraine's proposals for practical steps to implement the NATO’s Black Sea package adopted in April this year,” Zelensky said at the Ukraine-NATO Commission meeting in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The President highlighted the importance of strengthening the capacities of the Ukrainian Navy in the region together with the Alliance.

On April 4, NATO foreign ministers approved a program to strengthen the Alliance's presence in the Black Sea region due to Russia's aggressive actions.

As reported, the North Atlantic Council started a visit to Ukraine on October 30 at the invitation of the Ukrainian authorities. The visit began in Odesa. On Thursday, the NATO Secretary General and the Allies ambassadors are in Kyiv.
