"We have discussed in detail our bilateral relations and the ways to deepen them. We started with the issue our Israeli friends know better than others: war and security," President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said at a joint briefing with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
He thanked the Israeli side for its continued support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and for its steadfast stance on the war in eastern Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation.
"We as a state have much to learn from Israel, especially in the area of security and defense, and we will definitely do that," the President stressed.
As reported, the official meeting between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu takes place in Kyiv.
This is the first visit of the head of the Israeli government to Ukraine over the past 20 years.
