The Governments of Ukraine and the United States are negotiating on the terms of additional supplies of Javelin anti-tank missiles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

U.S. Chargé d'Affaires a.i. in Ukraine William Taylor said this to journalists in response to a question about the possibility of increasing the supply of AT missile systems, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We are ready to sell this weapon to Ukraine. Our governments are currently negotiating to agree on the terms of supplies," Taylor said.

As Ukrinform reported, U.S. Chargé d'Affaires a.i. in Ukraine William Taylor said that Ukraine had submitted a request to the United States for getting more Javelin anti-tank missiles.

In March 2019, U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker also confirmed Ukraine’s interest in receiving more Javelin anti-tank missiles.

In late 2017, the U.S. Presidential Administration approved a decision to sell lethal weapons to Ukraine, including Javelin anti-tank missiles. On March 1, the U.S. Department of State approved the sale of 210 Javelin missile systems and 37 launchers to Ukraine to the tune of about $47 million.
