Ukraine sends peacekeepers to Mali for first time
"At the moment, 61 representatives of the Ukrainian national personnel perform missions in the UN, NATO and joint peacekeeping forces in the following countries: the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (12 people), the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (two persons), the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (four people), the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (six people), the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (one person), the NATO-led Resolution Support Mission in Afghanistan (21 people), the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (five people), and joint peacekeeping forces in the security zone of the Transdniestrian region of the Republic of Moldova (ten military observers)," he said at a briefing on Tuesday.
