Russia in Trilateral Contact Group blocks introduction of ‘harvest ceasefire’ in Donbas

Ukrinform
The Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on Donbas failed to achieve any progress both on the introduction of the so-called "harvest ceasefire” and the release of detained persons.

Darka Olifer, the spokesperson for Ukraine's representative in the TCG Leonid Kuchma, wrote this on her Facebook page following a TCG meeting in Minsk on July 2.

"In connection with the position of the Russian Federation, no progress has been achieved both on the introduction of the so-called "harvest ceasefire” and the release of captives," she wrote.

The Ukrainian side is not opposed to the release of captives in the "all for all" format, but suggests speeding up this process by step-by-step implementation of this formula. The identification of all held persons continues, she added.

At the same time, she expressed hope that the next meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk scheduled for July 17 would be more constructive.
