Russian-led forces launch 34 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

“The enemy fired 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms on the units of the Joint Forces,” the press center of the Joint Forces Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led forces opened fire from grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms on Ukrainian troops near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol) and Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol); automatic grenade launchers and small arms – outside Talakivka (17km north-east of Mariupol); heavy machine guns - near Pyshchevyk (25km north-east of Mariupol); grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – in the area of Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); automatic grenade launchers – near Novoselivka Druha (36km north-eastof Mariupol); 120mm and 82mm mortars, mounted antitank grenade launcher and heavy machine gun – outside Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); 120mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers and small arms – in the area of Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk); heavy machine gun – outside Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk) and Novotoshkivske (53km west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars – outside Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars and mounted antitank grenade launcher – in the area of Popasna (69km west of Luhansk); 120mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms – near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk); small arms – outside Shumy (41km north of Donetsk); 120mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles and mounted antitank grenade launcher – on the outskirts of Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars, hand-held antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine gun – outside Zolote-4 (59km west of Luhansk).

One Ukrainian soldier received combat injury over the past day. The Joint Forces adequately returned fire in response to enemy’s shooting in line with the Minsk agreements.

According to intelligence, three invaders were wounded on June 17.

Today, the enemy has already opened fire from automatic grenade launcher and heavy machine gun on Ukrainian troops near Luhanske.

No casualties among Ukrainian troops have been reported today.
