Ukraine interested in cooperation with U.S. to improve efficiency of military-industrial complex

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during a meeting with U.S. Senior Military-Industrial Complex Reform Advisor Donald Winter on Tuesday, the Government portal reported.

“Without a doubt, you have an important role, and we are interested in combining our efforts, knowledge and experience in order to make the Ukrainian military-industrial complex more efficient,” Groysman noted.

According to the prime minister, the reform of Ukraine’s defense sector is one of the fundamental priorities of the Government, which has been unchanged in recent years. Ukraine, which protects the eastern border of the European Union, wants that the national military-industrial complex fully covers the critical needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and strengthens its position in the international arms market.

"I am very happy to be in Ukraine. I have an important task. And it is an honour for me to assist those who are at the front now and holding back aggression. I hope I can use my experience to give advice on the development and reform of Ukraine’s defense sector. Ukraine can be proud of its history and technologies, especially in the military-industrial complex,” Donald Winter stressed.
