Russian-led forces violate ceasefire five times in Donbas

The armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire five times, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements three times, in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy fired 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms on the units of the Joint Forces,” the press center of the Joint Forces Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led forces opened fire from 82mm mortars and grenade launchers of different systems near Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk); 82mm mortars outside Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); hand-held grenade launchers and small arms – outside Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Novhorodske (35km north of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – in the area of Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk).

No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported over the past day. The Joint Forces adequately returned fire in response to enemy’s shooting. According to intelligence, one invader was annihilated on June 2.

Today, the enemy has already launched an attack on Ukrainian troops, using antitank missile systems, mounted antitank grenade launchers and ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft mounts near Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk). No casualties have been reported.
