Ukraine’s General Staff chief, US senator discuss situation in Joint Forces Operation area

Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Ruslan Khomchak discussed with U.S. Senator Robert Portman the security situation in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas, the Defense Ministry reports.

"Chief of the General Staff - Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak held a meeting with U.S. Senator Robert Portman in Kyiv. During the meeting, the parties discussed the security situation in Ukraine and at its borders, up-to-date information about the challenges and threats in the area of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO)," the report says.

As noted, Khomchak thanked the United States for the consistent support of Ukraine in countering Russia’s aggression. Representatives of the foreign delegation visited the Memorial Hall of the Defenders of Ukraine, where they honored the memory of the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who died for the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
