Russian-led forces launch 17 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

“The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, antitank missile systems, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms to launch attacks on Ukrainian defenders,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, the Russian-led troops fired 120mm and 82mm mortars and automatic mounted grenade launchers near Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); antitank missile systems, mounted antitank grenade launchers – outside Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – in the area of Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk) and Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); mounted antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – near Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk); mounted antitank grenade launchers and small arms – outside Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol); mounted antitank grenade launchers – in the area of Novotroitske (36km south-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka and Novoselivka Druha (36km north-east of Mariupol); automatic mounted grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol);

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used 82mm mortars, automatic mounted grenade launchers and small arms to shell positions of the Joint Forces in the area of Shumy (41km north of Donetsk); 82mm mortars – near Zolote-4 (59km west of Luhansk); hand-held grenade launchers – outside Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk); small arms – in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk).

One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another one was wounded. The Joint Forces adequately returned fire in response to the enemy’s shooting.

According to intelligence, one invader was annihilated and three more were wounded on May 24.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire agreements.
