Russian-led forces violate ceasefire in Donbas 10 times in past day

“The enemy used 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms to launch attacks on Ukrainian defenders,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led forces opened fire from mounted antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns on Ukrainian troops near Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol); automatic mounted grenade launchers and small arms – near Starohnativka (51km south of Donetsk); automatic mounted grenade launchers – in the area of Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); heavy machine guns and small arms – near Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk) and Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Novhorodske (35km north of Donetsk); 82mm mortars, automatic mounted grenade launchers and small arms – near Novotoshkivske (53km west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars and automatic mounted grenade launchers – outside Zolote-4 (59km west of Luhansk); grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Myholaivka Druha.

One serviceman of the Joint Forces was wounded in the shelling. The Joint Forces units adequately returned fire in response to the enemy shooting. According to intelligence, one invader was killed, and six more were wounded on May 20.

Today, the enemy has already opened fire from hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian troops near Vodiane; heavy machine guns – in the area of Hnutove. One soldier of the Joint Forces was wounded in the shelling.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to ceasefire agreements.
