Representatives of Ukrainian Naval Forces meet with Royal Navy delegation

Representatives of the Navy Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Royal Navy of the British Armed Force have held a meeting to discuss the current security situation in the Black Sea region.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s press service reported this on May 7.

“The meeting of representatives of the Navy Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Royal Navy of Great Britain took place in Odesa... During the meeting, the parties discussed the current security situation in the Black Sea region, directions of bilateral cooperation," reads the report.

It is noted that Commander Matthew Warren, HMS Echo's Commanding Officer, told the Ukrainian delegation about capabilities of the ship. In turn, First Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Navy Andriy Tarasov stressed that for Ukraine it was very important that the British Royal Navy ship visited its ports in a complicated time for Ukraine.
