NSDC Secretary Turchynov greets infantry soldiers on professional holiday

Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov has congratulated infantry soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on their professional holiday, Infantry Day, which is marked in Ukraine for the first time today, May 6.
The greeting message has been posted on the NSDC official website.
“You [infantrymen] are the embodiment of the most powerful component of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on which the strength and confidence of every citizen of Ukraine in the guaranteed security of sovereignty, inviolability and freedom of expression of will are based,” Turchynov wrote.
He also stressed that the best qualities of human and military nature were clearly demonstrated in times of repelling Russia's aggression.
The NSDC secretary paid tribute to all infantry soldiers who gave their lives for the peaceful future of Ukraine and also thanked the veterans who faithfully convey the gained experience to the young generation.
