Russian-led forces launch 13 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas, one soldier killed

Russia's armed formations launched 13 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, anti-tank missile systems, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian defenders,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led troops fired 82mm mortars, heavy machine guns and small arms near Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol); anti-tank missile systems and small arms – outside Talakivka (17km north-east of Mariupol); grenade launchers of various systems – in the area of Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); mounted anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk); grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – outside Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used 120mm mortars to shell the Joint Forces units in the area of Troitske (69km west of Luhansk); heavy machine guns – near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk).

One Ukrainian soldier was killed and one was wounded in the shelling. The Joint Forces returned fire adequately. According to the intelligence, two invaders were killed and three more were wounded on April 30.

Today, the enemy has already opened fire from heavy machine guns on Ukrainian troops near Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); and small arms – outside Hranitne (57km south of Donetsk). No casualties among Ukrainian servicemen have been reported.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire regime.
