Ukraine to participate in NATO military exercises in Estonia

The Ukrainian troops will take part in the multinational exercises in Estonia, which are to kick off on Monday.

The Spring Storm, the largest military exercises in Estonia conducted under the auspices of NATO, will last three weeks. Nine thousand servicepersons from 13 countries, including the military personnel from Ukraine, are expected to take part in the exercise, DT.UA reports.

During the exercises, which will last until May 17, hundreds of units will be involved, including armored vehicles, infantry and tanks. The active phase of the exercise will take place on May 2-10 with the participation of warships of the Estonian Navy and allies in the ports of Tallinn and Lääne-Viru County. In addition, Eurofighter aircraft of the German and British Air Forces, Su-22 attack aircraft of the Polish Air Force, Wildcat and Apache helicopters of the British Royal Air Force, and Pave Hawk of the United States Air Force will be involved in the exercises.

This year, the representatives of the US, Belgium, Georgia, Canada, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, France, Germany, Finland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and Estonia are expected to take part in the Spring Storm drills.
