Russian-led forces launch nine attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

The armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire nine times in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day, using the weapons banned under the Minsk agreements twice.

“The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, automatic small arms and sniping weapons to shell the units of the Joint Forces,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’, Russian-led forces opened fire from 120mm mortars, mounted antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns on Ukrainian troops near Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol); 82mm mortars, mounted antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – outside Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – in the area of Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk); mounted antitank grenade launchers – near Bohdanivka (41km south-west of Donetsk) and Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol); hand-held antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – outside Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, illegal armed formations used heavy machine guns to shell the Joint Forces units in the area of Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk); automatic small arms and sniping weapons – near Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk).

One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another one was wounded in shelling.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.
