"Today, one of the final tests of a new cruise missile, which will be put into service by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, takes place at the firing ground in Odesa region. It is an anti-ship missile, shore-launched missile that can be also used by the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Poroshenko said, the president’s press service reports.
As noted, the safety of tests in the Black Sea region was ensured by a group of Ukrainian Navy ships. All the parts and components of the complex are produced at the Ukrainian defense enterprises.
The president praised the contribution of the Ukrainian defense complex, Design Bureau “Luch”, Ukrainian IT sector, which deals with armored vehicles, to the enhancement of a missile’s range, usage of high-accuracy weaponry.
