Russian-led forces launch ten attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

Russian occupation forces launched ten attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements eight times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

The enemy fired 33 152mm and 122mm artillery shells and 120mm and 82mm mortars into Ukrainian troops. In addition, the Joint Forces units came under antitank missile complex, grenade launcher, heavy machine gun and small arms fire.

“In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’, Russian-led forces opened fire from 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars and heavy machine guns on Ukrainian troops near Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – outside Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); hand-held antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – in the area of Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); mounted antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Talakivka (17km north-east of Mariupol); automatic mounted grenade launchers – in the area of Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol); antitank missile complex and mounted antitank grenade launchers – near Novoselivka Druha (36km north-east of Mariupol).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, illegal armed formations used 152mm artillery systems to shell a platoon strongpoint of the Joint Forces in the area of Novotoshkivske (53km west of Luhansk).

One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in shelling.

The Joint Forces adequately returned fire in response to the enemy shooting.

According to the intelligence, four invaders were annihilated and two more were wounded on April 4. In addition, one unit of military equipment of the Russian occupation troops was destroyed.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.

The Joint Forces reliably control the actions of the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire regime.
