Russian-led forces launch six attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

Russian occupation forces launched six attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements four times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’, Russian-led forces used grenade launchers of different systems and heavy machine guns to shell Ukrainian defenders near Novotroitske (36km south-west of Donetsk); automatic mounted grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – in the area of Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol) ,” the JFO Headquarters press centre reports on Facebook.

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy fired 82mm and 120mm mortars on Ukrainian troops outside Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems and small arms  – near Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk); small arms – in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk).

No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported.

The Joint Forces returned fire adequately. Two invaders were annihilated and three more were wounded. One infantry combat vehicle of the enemy was destroyed.

Today, the illegal armed formations have not opened fire yet.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire regime.
