NATO frigate Toronto arrives in Odesa

On the morning of April 1, the Royal Canadian Navy frigate HMCS Toronto has arrived on a friendly visit to the port of Odesa. Another NATO ship, the Spanish Navy frigate Santa Maria, is expected to arrive soon.
As an Ukrinform correspondent learnt from the press service of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, frigates Toronto and Santa Maria arrive in Odesa after the patrol in the Black Sea, which was conducted along with other ships as part of the Standing NATO Maritime Group Two for several days.
As noted, the commanders of Toronto and Santa Maria with the participation of diplomats of their countries will hold the meetings with the command of the Navy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and representatives of local authorities in Odesa.
The ships will also take part in the PASSEX exercises together with the Ukrainian Navy ships in the Black Sea area to enhance the compatibility with ships of NATO and partner countries.
