Ukrainian defense minister meets with strategic advisers from NATO member countries

Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak met with a group of strategic advisers from NATO member countries and thanked for assistance in building a perspective system of the military management of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the ministry’s press service reported on Tuesday evening.

“Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak met with a group of the Alliance strategic advisers from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Lithuania, Poland and Germany,” reads the report.

The defense minister said that all the advice of Ukraine’s partners will be thoroughly studied and the reform process will be extended to the defined terms. 

“All of you have joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ reform. The Ukrainian military has done a lot over the last four years, namely — stopped one of the strongest armies in the world. I am grateful for the constructive and effective work; you demonstrate unity in the intentions to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces to become stronger,” said Poltorak.

He stressed once again that the ministry grateful for the assistance provided by the group of strategic advisers form NATO member countries.
