Militants launched 12 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 12 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements five times, on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

“In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’, the enemy fired 82mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian troops near Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk); automatic grenade launchers outside Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms near Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol); grenade launchers and small arms near Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, militants used 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions in the area of Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk) and Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars and automatic grenade launchers outside Troitske (69km west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms near Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk).

One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in shelling over the past day.

According to the intelligence, four militants were killed and eleven more were wounded on February 5.
