Militants launched nine attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched nine attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

In the combat area of the tactical force Pivnich [North], the enemy fired heavy machine guns on Ukrainian positions near Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk).

Also, in the combat area of the tactical force Skhid [East], the terrorists fired automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on JFO positions near Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol). The enemy sniper was also detected.

As a result of the shelling by Russian occupation forces, no casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported over the past day.

Ukrainian strongholds outside Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) came under fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

The enemy also fired 82mm mortars on JFO positions near Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk) and Vodiane, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk) and Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol).

According to the intelligence, one invader was killed on January 18.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.
