Poroshenko: We will continue to strengthen combat capabilities of Ukrainian army

"Over the past five years, we revived our Armed Forces and turned them into one of the most effective armies in Europe. Well-trained guys are ready to defend their country at any time. And this became possible not only due to a high morale but also modern powerful weapons. Our army received about 26,000 units of weapons and military equipment from the State Concern Ukroboronprom for the period of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine," Poroshenko wrote on Facebook.

"We will continue to strengthen the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian army in order to protect our state," the president added.

As reported, the State Concern Ukroboronprom transferred 25,800 weapons and military equipment to the Armed Forces and other security forces during the Russian military aggression against Ukraine.
