Militants launched eight attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched eight attacks on Ukrainian positions, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements three times, in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“In particular, the enemy fired 82mm mortars on JFO positions near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), and 120mm mortars – near Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol),” the press center of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters reports.

Ukrainian strongholds outside Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Berezove (35km south-west of Donetsk), Pyshchevyk (25km north-east of Mariupol) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) came under fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in last day.

According to the intelligence, one invader was killed and two more were wounded on December 27. In addition, one representative of the illegal armed groups was captured.

Today, the enemy has already shelled Ukrainian positions near Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk) and Hnutove, using 82mm mortars.
