Militants launched 11 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 11 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy continued to use weapons banned under the Minsk agreements. In particular, militants used 82mm mortars to shell JFO positions near Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk),” reads the report of the JFO Headquarters press center.

Ukrainian strongholds outside Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Nevelske (18km north-west of Donetsk), Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk), Slavne (25km south-west of Donetsk), Pivnichne (44km north-east of Donetsk) and Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol) came under grenade launcher, heavy machine gun and small arms fire.

The situation in the JFO area remains controlled by the Ukrainian military.

Two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in military hostilities over the past day.

According to the intelligence, one militant was killed, another five were wounded on December 11.

Today, the enemy has already launched one attack on Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk). Heavy weapons have not been used, no casualties have been reported.
