After the carrying out reform of the Defense Ministry, not only the minister will be civilian, but all his deputies too.

Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak stated this on Priamy TV Channel.

“Not only the Defense Minister, but almost the entire leadership of the Defense Ministry must be civilians. There will be only 18% of the military at the Defense Ministry after the completion of the reform and others will be civilians,” Poltorak said.

The minister added that heads of structural divisions are elected on the competitive principles.
