Ukraine, Turkey to build aviation and sea platforms for defense industry

“At MUSIAD EXPO [the international exhibition High Tech Port by MUSIAD], Hladkovsky [First Deputy Secretary of the NSDC Oleh Hladkovsky] met with President of the Defense Industry of the Republic of Turkey Ismail Demir, during which the parties noted a significant intensification of bilateral cooperation in the defence industry complex with the achievement of real results as mutually beneficial contracts. The officials also discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation in setting up joint ventures in the field of construction of land-based, aviation and sea-based platforms, which are of considerable interest to both countries,” the statement reads.
Hladkovsky also held meetings with heads of Turkey’s leading defense enterprises and noted the importance of combining the efforts of Ukrainian and Turkish design offices to modernize existing types of equipment and weapons and developing new ones.
As reported, a Ukrainian delegation led by First Deputy Secretary of the NSDC Oleh Hladkovsky visited MUSIAD EXPO in Istanbul. The delegation also included Head of the Ukroboronprom State Concern Pavlo Bukin and Ukraine's Ambassador to Turkey Andrii Sybiha.
