Byrne Furlong, the spokeswoman for the Canadian defence minister, said this to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“The ministers discussed the fulfillment by Canada of its obligations to Ukraine through Operation UNIFIER, which includes good cooperation between the units,” Furlong said.
In addition, the parties discussed measures to counteract Russian aggression and ways of enhancing cooperation in the field of defense. “The ministers also stressed the importance of deterring Russian aggression and noted the strength of the Canadian-Ukrainian defense partnership,” the spokeswoman said.
Ukrainian Minister Pavlo Klimkin paid a visit to Canada to attend the annual Halifax International Security Forum (HISF).
